Hear gen-Z's perspective on football as we celebrate the launch of Football. Feminism. Fans. – a new zine exploring racism and feminism in the much-loved game.  Join us for an evening of spoken word performances, featuring writer and spoken word artist Simone Yasmin and guests. You’ll also have the chance to perform in our open mic slot. Get your hands on a free copy of Football. Feminism. Fans., which was co-created with young people from Elliot Hudson College, Simone Yasmin, several Leeds artists and the British Library. Customise your copy of the zine, with a selection of stamps co-designed by the college students and community artist and illustrator Megan Dobbyn. In anticipation of a new site in the heart of Leeds, The British Library are working with local people and partners to open up their collections. Keep an eye out for more events and exhibitions with the Library in and around Leeds.
