More information about Sigh tickets

Sigh were formed in April of 1990 and did two demos before the 'Requiem for Fools' 7"EP on Wild Rags, which led them to sign to Euronymous' Deathlike Silence Productions.

The debut album 'Scorn Defeat' was recorded in 1993, but Euronoymous was murdered before its release, and Voices of Wonder Records took over DSP and released the 'Scorn Defeat'.

Sigh then moved to Cacophonous Records and released:

Infidel Art (1995)

Ghastly Funeral Theatre (1996 mini album)

Hail Horror Hail (1997)

Scenario IV: Dread Dreams (1999)

'Hail Horror Hail' was chosen as one of the most important 100 heavy metal albums of the nineties in UK's Terrorizer Magazine.

Sigh then signed to Century Media Records and released 'Imaginary Sonicscape' in 2001. The album was again well received worldwide.

The sixth album 'Gallows Gallery', the debut album for the newly recruited Junichi Harashima, was released in 2005 by Baphomet/Season of Mist Records (US) and Candlelight Records (Europe). It was chosen as No.14 album of 2005 in UK’s Terrorizer

The seventh album 'Hangman's Hymn' , which is the fastest and the most symphonic album by Sigh, was released in 2007 on The End Records (US) and Osmose Prodcutions (Europe). 'Me- Devil'from this album was featured on the Canadian heavy metal documentary movie 'Global Metal' directed by Sam Dunn. Also 'Inked in Blood' ranked at 31st in 21st Century's Top Metal Songs at Loudwire.com.

'A Tribute to Venom' was released in September 2008 on The End Records to coincide Sigh's first

US tour with Canada's Unexpect. This is the first stuff to feature Dr. Mikannibal who joined the band

in the end of 2007.

The eighth album 'Scene from Hell' was worldwidely released in January 2010 on The End Records again.

In 2011 Sigh signed a worldwide deal to Candlelight Records and released the ninth album entitled 'In Somniphobia' in March of 2012.

In 2014, You Oshima joined Sigh as a new guitarist. He is the mastermind behind the one- man  project Kadenzza, who released two albums on Holy Records (France). His stage debut with Sigh was at the concert with Emperor in Tokyo in July of the same year.

In April of 2015 the tenth album 'Graveward', which features You Oshima on guitar for the first time,

was released via Candlelight Records.

In 2018, the 11th album 'Heir to Despair' was released again via Candlelight Records. This heavy, psychedelic and exotic album is Sigh's first attempt to intentionally taken in Japanese / Asian musical feel. This album features a few guest appearances such as Philip H. Anselmo (no explanation needed!) on vocal and the ex-Estradasphere shamisen master, Kevin Kmetz.

Sigh have experienced lots of US/ Europe tours including the festival appearances such as Hellfest (France), Graspop Metal Meeting (Belgium), Brutal Assault Open Air (Czech Republic), Roadburn Festival (Holland), Hammer Open Air Festival (Finland), Damnation Festival (UK), Inferno Festival (Norway), Under the Black Sun (Germany, headliner), Metal Magic Festival (Denmark, headliner), Maryland Deathfest (USA) and many more. Their show is truly theatrical and spectacular with lots of fire and blood.
