The double Grammy Award-winning band, recent recipients of a lifetime achievement MOBO award, progressed from the warehouse scene to global success, with huge hits including ‘Keep On Movin’ (which sold over a million copies in the US alone) and the UK number one single ‘Back To Life (However Do You Want Me)’. Soul II Soul have had a pioneering role for British black music around the world, selling over 10 million albums worldwide. Main man Jazzie B was awarded an OBE for services to music in 2008 and an Ivor Novello Award for Inspiration, as “the man who gave British black music a soul of its own”. 

With their Funki Dred sound, drawn from soul, hiphop and reggae, as inspirational as ever, this is a unique intimate show in the grand Entrance Hall of The British Library. 

Arrive early catch to the exhibition Beyond the Bassline: 500 Years of British Music, included in the ticket, and our DJ on the night Yazmin Lacey. Yazmin is also an acclaimed singer-songwriter whose 2023 release Voice Notes was one of the most lauded debut albums of recent years. 

Doors open 19:30. On stage times to be announced later.
