More Information about The Murder Express: Jewel Of The Empire

A new menu, currently under construction from afabulous MasterChef, will be announced in the coming weeks. It's 1937, The great depression continues, the slums are overcrowded, unemployment is at its highest with riots due to political agitation but it matters not to the socialites. The year previous, 1936, the year of the abdication in Britain, Jesse Owens had dominated the Olympics in Berlin. Germany, Italy and Japan created an alliance and Crystal Palace had burned to the ground, idealistic young Englishmen and women travelled to Spain to fight against Franco in the Spanish Civil war. India is in revolt. Something in the air is changing in Europe and across the world but for the socialites it matters not. The beating of the war drums are not to be heard as they boarded The Queen Mary when she began her Atlantic crossings. Travel and adventure is the course of the day, The Murdér Express is busier than ever bringing those hungry for glitz, glamour, fine dining and of course adventure between London and the Southern French town of Murdér. At Pedley Street Station there is a new wonder to behold. The largest cut diamond in the world; The Jewel of The Empire. Owned by the Von Valentine family and cut from the largest rough Diamond ever discovered; it is now on display on board The Murdér Express as it makes its way to the Von Valentine estate in the South of France.
